The owner can fire you.
Your board sets a target before the season. Its confidence moves every week. Lose the room, and you lose the job.
Rafters is a basketball front-office game. Pick a club. Your owner sets the target, twenty-nine rival front offices negotiate back, and the deadline does not wait for you.
Deep enough for the sickos. Simple enough for everyone.
Roman Sterling is 35. Win this year, or start the rebuild.
The game
Real screens from the current build. You run the club from here: the roster, the books, the board and every call on deadline day.
The board keeps score. It sets a target before the season, and its confidence moves every week. Miss the mandate, and they find someone who will not.
The books are real. Payroll, the tax line and both aprons. Every dollar over the line costs more than the last.
Rafters is set in the Heartland Basketball Association (HBA), a fictional league of 30 clubs. Screens from the current build.
The job
Pick any club. The league moves around you whether you are ready or not.
Your board sets a target before the season. Its confidence moves every week. Lose the room, and you lose the job.
They build to a plan. They counter. They say no.
Offers, counter-offers and calls that go quiet at 2:59 PM.
Draft a nineteen-year-old and watch him grow into your best player.
The right veteran makes your rookie better. The wrong one does not.
Lose at home and you hear it. Win, and the building fills up.
Seven games. One roster. Every adjustment is yours.
Build a dynasty that lasts as long as you do. Or rebuild the one you broke.
Deadline day
Every call you make runs through the real rulebook, and every rival GM has a plan of their own.
Two ways to play
You pick your mode when you start a new save, and it stays for that save. Both modes use the same league, the same owner and the same deadline.
Rotations, tactics, training, scouting and the books. Every call in the front office is yours.
Your assistant runs rotations, tactics, training, scouting and the finances. You make the trades, run the draft, work free agency and watch the games.
Cap rulesBoth modes can use either rule.
The full rulebook. The cap follows league revenue every summer, and new contracts move with it.
A flat salary cap with one hard apron. Less of the fine print.
Pro starts on Real CBA, and Lite starts on Fixed cap. You can change this on the new-save screen.
The Expansion Class
Before the Early Access Beta, we sign a small group of testers. You play early builds, report what breaks, and help decide what comes next. Founding members get their name hung in the rafters: a credit in the game itself.
